Cute tool kit! Definitely not “top shelf” quality tools BUT for the niche market, I doubt that one could find better for the price. The bag itself is cute as heck and is of really good quality – a really good first impression. The tools seem that they are appropriate for occasional menial tasks that the “pretty-in-pink” user would want to do for herself.
A more experienced user will find the forgings to be characteristic of the “Made in China & Taiwan” labeling that is on the box, but are of better quality than cheap bargain tools. The pliers could be finished better, as they bind a bit when adjusting for wide gripping. The glue that contributes to holding the hammer head to the fiberglass handle wasn’t wiped clean after setting the head. There are other small quality indicators that leave the same impression, but the tools that are not forged seem to be good quality. All-in-all, the set seems to be appropriate for occasional use.
When the “lovely lady” in my life starts to use this set (and I will probably try the tools now and then to further assess the quality) I will likely offer more practical feedback about the functionality of the tools.
I would definitely recommend the tools to someone who wants to make someone they love (even themselves!) giddy with this set if they are intended for occasional use.
